“As usual we had a great time. The cottage was clean, tidy and proved to be a great base for our holiday – as usual. We’re looking forward to next year’s visit already.”
“Lovely stay. However a great break and just what we needed. Excellent location and beautiful gardens. Enjoyed all the local beaches and the walk to combs gate. Baricane was stunning and kids enjoyed surfing lessons and Croyde and managed to stand too!! Very welcoming and was well stocked with a stunning view from the top of the staircase. Thank you, hope to return again!”
“It was lovely to meet you and hope you have a good remainder of your holiday. We thought the cottages were fabulous. We know the area very well and have stayed in a number of places in Mortehoe, (including camping in North Morte Farm). Yours are great value for money and in a superb position. Clean and tidy with everything one might need. Being pet friendly is always our priority and somehow your cleaners have managed to do a great doesn’t smell of ‘dog’ like most places! Thanks so much once again, I’m sure we’ll be back.”
“Thank you for your e mail -had one of the best holidays ever -loved the cottage everything provided was 100% and we were lucky with the weather surfing walking every day just hoping to find time to return ..Mortehoe is one of my favourites from child hood days living in Braunton with my parents.
One small favour I had a silver chain which broke whilst on holiday and I remember putting it in left hand top drawer of the chest of drawers in the double room - then I thought I had put somewhere safe and of course now cannot find it so am wondering if I left it behind when packing up ?
Would be grateful if you can let me know if it was found?
Many many thanks”

“Tom, we had a wonderful week. It is a lovely house with lots of lovely things in it in a beautiful place. We went surfing, fishing, walking, played golf and went to the Grampus Pub twice. The children loved Rockham beach it is such a dramatic coastline in sharp contrast to Cornwall which is tame in comparison.”
“Just wanted to drop you a quick line about the cottage. (Mailscot). Firstly, we had a great time as before. And the scones were a very thoughtful gesture, so thank you… the lawns were beautifully mown… Mortehoe and the cottage were as lovely as ever. Hopefully we will be back again next year.
With kind regards”
“Just wanted to say thank you for yet another wonderful holiday at the Old Vicarage. We loved the new kitchen and although we had some brilliant weather when it rained on the Sunday the woodburner was so cosy. Mortehoe is so peaceful and beautiful and Bennets Mouth is total bliss! Looking forward to the next time. Best Wishes”

“We so enjoyed last w.e. at the Old Vicarage. It couldn’t have been a more perfect weekend and the house was exactly what we wanted. It has a lovely feeling and we were thrilled to be there.
We had 2 perfect rounds of golf at Saunton. They were So friendly and we thought the courses were magnificent. There was a Huntercombe couple there in the Saturday competition and she tells me that they so loved it that they are now ‘country members’ – food for thought.”
“I wanted to say what a wonderful week we had at Wykeham. What a great place it is, and the weather was fab too. The flat was so clean on our arrival. We were absolutely delighted and will we back again soon. Thanks you so much.”

“We had a really comfortable holiday in Mailscott the summmer before last. The house and garden are lovely and so convenient for the village (pubs) and access to the coastal path.
“Just to say we had a lovely few days in Mailscot, it was good to be back and the cottage is always so clean and welcoming. Thank you. Looking forward to the next time. Very best wishes.”

“Thank you for your best wishes as the weather was indeed sunny and dry and we had a wonderful holiday. We both love Morthoe having stayed there 4 times now in various cottages. We would like you to know that Wykeham has been the best so far. In particular it was quite, roomy and comfortable. And had ample car parking unlike many of the properties available to rent in Morthoe.

We were also delighted with the south facing garden/lawn which provides a spacious play area for children and dogs and a setting unbeatable for cream teas and barbecues. (One can imagine the very many garden parties held there).

We were much want to stay at the Old Vicarage again and can’t wait to return to Mortehoe.”

Thank you so much for letting us have your wonderful house so last minute last weekend – we had the most amazing time – struck it very lucky with the weather and the surfing and better still, having been going there off and on for the last twenty years or so we finally tracked down the Sri Lankan curry shack to Barricane Bay (just past the Watersmeet hotel as you come into Woolacombe – directly under the dilapidated old White House – I cannot recommend it highly enough – delicious home made fish curries eaten on the beach with BYO as the sun sets – perfect after an evening swim.
